Kids were good

So this Saturday was quite not-so-common days of life. Everybody of us mostly have common or normal days of life. And then there are those days which are not-so-common. Those when we would not be doing/having things which we will call that as such 'stand out' from activities of some + or - x days from that day.
So coming back to the point Saturday was that kind of day. Not that it was some F-ing day of my life or stuff like that but it had some salience which I can't associate with other Saturdays.
So coming back to the point again we (me along with some co-workers) went to a school and spent some time with students. There were few competitions where students participated with vigour we did not know when in class 10. Most of the children came from very humble family background but Im sure they could have outdid many in terms of enthusiasm. They enjoyed. We loved.

So. It was over. We went to Bangalore. Met some of the old guys. Watched first day of Bangalore test. Had some so-called fun.
And that was pretty much of it. Came back and ensconced in the frame.

Cricket Match

If everything goes well on Saturday I will be watching the cricket match live on ground. For the first time.
That too a contest between top two teams.
So this weekend will be in Bangalore.
I am also contemplating buying a bicycle to commute between office and home.
Many people discouraged the idea as in it will be odd.
But apart from that cycling in hyderabad is BIG deal.
By doing so you decrease your life expectancy by increasing your probability of death at young age.
In hyderabad there is no concept of footpath leave alone cycling lanes. So you have to work your way through bigger vehicles on the main road.
So I will have to watch out for the streets I will have to cycle through before executing the idea.
In the 3 days since I moved to new apartment the observation was that roads from here to office are relatively flat.
But the traffic is loaded.
See you Bangalore. In 3 days time.

No news

I know I am posting very few these days. But I dont know why. I will tr to keep posting. Although as of now there is nothing like work pressure at office. I sometimes even wonder why I am getting paid!
The only news is that we are moving in a new house this weekend.
And today with all the scare of Ayodhya verdict there will be quite a bit of security.
There are a lot of speculations about what will happen. Possibly communal clashes.
There are always people around us who take pleasure in meaningless things.
Sometimes I wonder that we are losing more than we are gaining from Religion.

Theory of Everything

Today was one of those days in life which leaves you confounded. Each day I travel to office I see different faces. Girls and boys, men and women, young and old. All of them so different but yet same to me. So what's really different about them.

One lady was standing besides the road with her mate, talking. Another was driving her skoda to office. Few were sitting in auto-rickshaw. Many more were waiting. Pedestrians walking across muddy side street. So what is it that makes you. Is it the skoda, the bus, how you dress, how you eat, what you eat, what you own, how you live that matters? Is it really the thing that makes a difference.

Think over again. Do these things really matter? In the eventuality it is not how many cars you've driven or how many houses you have owned is the reason that you are happy or you are sad. But still we want everything in life. Even things that we try to debunk when we see others having it.

One of these days I was reading the utilitarian justice theory which presumes that all humans are equal. Happiness value of every individual is of equal importance. Did anybody see anything wrong in this point of view? But we all know how this is not reflective around us. Imagine a guy like you getting a fever and somebody living-under-a-bridge child getting a fever.

Why do we get into this? So what is it all about? The only answer I get for this question is - 'Confusion'. The more you question the more strong your conviction about the answer. So it remains undiscovered what the answer is. And to a certain extent what the question was. But so is the 'Theory of Everything'. Undiscovered.

e

It seems new city does not suits to my eyes.

First the lens correction increased to -0.75, -1.0. Secondly I am suspected with some xyz hi-fi eye disease a doctor in this hospital.

Now the advice is to keep dropping the eyedrops and have diagnostic tests.

Eventually we have to face the tests and the result.

Let us see what it turns out to be.

Weird al

I know I can be weird at times. But not that weird. I can be decent too. Many times I am this weird that I feel self-weirdness.

A day in life

This birthday was really a memorable one. Got up early. Went for office at 9 a.m. Mom, dad and sis came to meet me at 10 a.m. And then what fell was only rain. All the traffic gone crazy when I was returning. We started at 6:30 from office and reached 10:15. So nothing much left for the day. Only some cake celebration and all.

The next day went again in similarly. Only I was able to have home cooked food. :)

And now that Momma has gone back we cook ourselves in the evening.

Not got enough time to sleep amidst all this.

It's hard to stay awake will gulping down syntaxes of PL/SQL. So I use IM clients and facebook to fight the sleep.

No only 1 day and Im going to sleep whole of Saturday!

Goodie nightie. Have to wake up in the morning early.

On independence

My homage to all those who lost their lives or family members in the carnage concomitant of independence. At this day my heart always shudders to imagine the picture of Punjab, Sindh, and Kashmir 63 years hence. For most it was a red lettered day. For some it came as a ghost to seek their life.

The power transition carried a lot of friction. And the heat burnt many. I don't know what better way could have been for transfer but it seems as though any way other than this would have been better.

BTW I was reminded by a call on 12:01 that it was my birthday! So Happy Birthday to me! I wish that I love my work.

All the rocking time has gone past

Yes it was rocking...
The final year at college was, to say the least, rocking, wonderful, awesome, rocking, legendary.

I think we were so hell bent on we-will-miss-these-days-later kind of stuff that we made every conscious efforts to enjoy to the fullest during last 2 years, specially last 1 year. Sometimes it paid bad returns in some other things. For example our theses defense. None of our wing-mates were able to finish our dissertation in may. We starting in june and still going on.

But believe me it was worth it. Only to recollect some of those memories is several times more joyous than watching the best of movies in theaters partying anywhere in the world.

But as I always say and will say again. All things must pass. So has this. But we try to enjoy every-time everywhere. And I will tell you that's the secret often ignored. Secret to stay happy forever.

No life without Internet

So finally getting back the life. I have been missing badly. A lot of days went un-captured on blogger. That pains me a lot. It is exactly after a month that I am writing.

The big news is that I have joined my job. Now I am a working professional. 9;30 to 6 each day. Sitting straight on a chair. Get home. Eat. Sleep. May be blog on some days. Wake up from all this for 2 days after every 5 days. Do something else. That's it.

The trick is to do things I wanna do in between this. So I want to keep blogging and do a lot of things apart from work.

We will be having a 5 week training in the company then assigned projects. Overall things are well down here. Trying to settle in a new rented flat. 5 of us are sharing in a 3 bed room house. Few things are still left to buy. Just waiting for weekend to fix these things.

To Death!

Death can be so near you and you may not know.
Death can come so fast.
Death is the ultimate reality of life.
Death can be realization of many truths.

I will die this month

As I wrote the closing chapter of my masters thesis it reminds me of closing chapter of a lifetime. Yes. A lifetime of 5 years it was. Coming to this place called IIT Kanpur I was reborn into a different individual. Possibly because 18 to 24 is the age where teens move into maturity and it is a window from which a helluva wisdom enters as deep as skull. Perspectives are formed, myths are broken and a whole new world egresses before our eyes.

Now the end is near and I am getting hard time winding up with this thesis thing. But as all things in life this will get over too. It is just a matter of time. I only look towards the one month off time I will get to spend at home on the other side of this hard time.

Happy Birthday Rubik's Cube

A cake for a conundrum which caused a revolution. That's what they call it.

Rubik's Cube is celebrating its 30th birthday... (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment_and_arts/10158617.stm)

Wish you a long life.

Hiatus

It is longest hiatus I have ever shown on blogger. It is first time in last 4.5 years that more than a month passed without scribbling here. And it was not for no reason. I was way too busy winding up the work for my masters thesis. Most of the work is finished now. Only scripting part is left with it. Secondly I was not feeling very hearty past few weeks. Dont know why it was so. But better to leave out some bad memories.

No its going to be all over. The 5 year plan comes to end. I leave the college and enter into the so called big-bad-world. [edited on May,21] But that's the reality. All of us have to do something for a living. Then why not do something I'm good at for living's sake. But only as long as I like it. No immediate alternate plans right now. Hope I get 'em when needed.

By the way I was learning something new from last 2 weeks. Swimming. I still cant breathe while swimming but getting the hand and leg strokes right. Glad that I've learnt this much before leaving campus. :)

It's going to end very soon. The loving guys here, night fun, gossips and all. You know these things will be etched in fond memories. And in blogs too. Im happy that I've scripted most of the experience on blogger. Feels good to travel down the memory lane sometimes. Whenever I read them I see myself growing up through my own eyes. This blog thing is wonderful! I promise to keep writing as long as I live. and have internet access.

I am pissed off

I dont know why?

Today was a bad day.

That's all!

70+ people died in a massacre!

I am working.

The hangover is close to over.

Bryan's book is great!

I'll finish it soon.

Sleeping too much.

Bad for health.

Bad for work.

Too hot here!

No option but to endure.

15 June is exit date.

28 June is enter date.

That's all!

Really that was all!

No more!

Only that I don't want.

Oh I wish!

OK. that's enough!

Over and out.

Few days

Possibly it is the first week of the last three (or so) months of my stay in an isolated planet called IIT. It's high time we ponder over what has been done over the last five years here. So I recall this article by Sandeepan Deb and go and read it again. It speaks the veracity of the situation.

Right now I am having a hangover which is usual when I come back from home. It will take a day or two before I settle down into normal daily routine.

Till then very little of work and very little of everything. But I'll try.

We cannot get everything out of life

Other way to say this is in Adam Smith's words "Human wants are unlimited, resources are limited". But this poem below summarizes it best. At times shayaris can look so beautiful!

Kabhi Kisi Ko Muqamal Jahan Nahin Milta
Kahin Zamin To Kahin Aasmaan Nahi Milta

Jise Bhi Dekhiye Vo Apne Aap Mein Gum Hain
Zubah Mili Hain Magar Humzubah Nahin Milta

Kabhi Kisi Ko Muqamal Jahan Nahin Milta
Kahin Zamin To Kahin Aasmaan Nahi Milta

Bujha Saka Hain Bhala Kaun Waqt Ke Shole
Ye Aisi Aag Hain Jisme Dhuan Nahin Milta

Kabhi Kisi Ko Muqamal Jahan Nahin Milta
Kahin Zamin To Kahin Aasmaan Nahi Milta

Tere Zahan Mein Aisa Nahin Ki Pyar Na Ho
Zaha Umeed Ho Iski Wahan Nahin Milta

Kabhi Kisi Ko Muqamal Jahan Nahin Milta
Kahin Zamin To Kahin Aasmaan Nahi Milta
